The boots that hang from the ceiling are from folks who either died or passed out at the bar. There used to be more of them (still stored upstairs) and there also used to be bras and panties and other things. We were told if you came in wearing a tie, it would be cut off and hung from the ceiling. Some of these more “racy” items have been removed for modern decorum.

We were also told that folks do ride their horses to the bar and sometimes in the bar.
